“We have a Federation Home that had its last refurbishment more than a decade ago. We wanted to ‘refresh' the entire top floor.
It may not have been the best idea to commence this project as we were emerging from COVID...as supply chains were being impacted and trades people were in short supply. Nevertheless we decided to proceed.
Throughout this process, Kate was an absolute delight to work with. Kate is a great listener and she is very creative with her ideas and concepts. Kate’s process was to meet and discuss what we were looking for. After these discussions Kate would promptly come back with some more developed concepts with example colours, fabrics and furniture designs. These concepts were always well thought through and she always offered us several options. We would discuss these options and finally agree on the concepts we wanted to proceed with.
Kate always kept us appraised of how things were tracking. During the peak of the project there were many moving pieces and Kate calmly ensured she was across every aspect of the program of work along the status of various orders and she continued to push things forward. At least on a weekly basis we would get a status update on where things were at, and reminded us on what we need to make decisions on.
Kate has an enormous array of relationships and connections across the industry. She always knew exactly where to find the perfect furniture piece or where to acquire the granite tops for the kitchen. We also refurbished existing furniture and Kate had relationships with companies that did a fantastic job with repainting old furniture or re-covering old chairs.
Kate did a tremendous job for us and we would highly recommend her to anyone with a home decorating project of any magnitude.”

“We had been putting off redecorating and redesigning various rooms in our house because we didn’t know where to start ourselves, and didn’t know how to select a designer. Kate was referred to us by a friend, and this has proved to be a blessing many times over.
Kate has an unassuming manner, yet also displays an aura of confidence and creativity. She focused on getting to know our personalities in the early days, and clearly considered this just as important as what we thought we wanted to do with our house (which turned out to be completely different!). The time and effort that went into our designs and implementation were extraordinary, and Kate was always available to discuss changes, deal with last minute problems, and liaise with the workers. Nothing was too much trouble, and Kate would happily turn up at our house to undertake anything from a complex technical discussion with builders, to help make up beds with new bedding, or sit and wait for a delivery because no-one else could be there. She nearly always arrived with coffee, and absolutely always with a lovely smile and an instantly calming influence.
