“A master class in functionality and form led to this Sydney kitchen transforming into an entertainers dream.”
prince ALBERT HOUSE
We first met our clients at the end of the Covid lockdowns when the realisation that their home no longer suited their empty nest phase had become apparent. They were busy people with a large family who wanted to reconnect with a home that was refreshed, curated, and still very personal. They appreciated good design and understood the value of professional guidance to enable them to achieve what they wanted.
After our initial discussions, the scope of work included a complete renovation of the kitchen and walk in pantry, as well as interior decoration and furnishing of the living, dining, hallway and principal and guest bedrooms. Using our design experience, detailed space planning of the kitchen and pantry enabled us to maximize the available space and create an entertaining kitchen where our sociable clients could feel at home with guests and family.
Respecting the architectural heritage alongside introducing modern, timeless living was the interior decoration approach for our client’s beautiful home. With its high ceilings and Victorian architecture, we grounded these grand features throughout in an uplifting way with colour and textural pieces to create a home that felt inviting and comfortable. The restful colour scheme takes its cues from the surrounding environment and the home’s leafy garden aspect and west-facing city views bring sunlight throughout the day with harmonious qualities contributing to the overall feeling of warmth and elegance.
“Kate did a tremendous job for us and we would highly recommend her to anyone with a home decorating project of any magnitude.”
