Our clients came towards the end of the Covid lockdowns with the realisation that their home no longer suited their empty nest phase and required a complete refresh of the living, dining and bedroom spaces and a new kitchen and pantry.
The interior design direction of this North Shore Federation home takes a contemporary perspective in step with our client’s philosophy of living in a heritage home. With its high ceilings and Victorian architecture, the brief emphasized grounding these grand features and complementing them throughout the house in an approachable way to create a home that felt inviting, comfortable and familiar.
Our scope of work included a complete renovation of the kitchen and walk in pantry, as well as interior decoration of the living, dining, inner hallway and principal and guest bedroom.
Our clients love of soft organic colours and tactile surfaces are brought together across the home. The restful colour scheme takes its cues from the surrounding environment balanced with warm white and timber tones. The home’s leafy garden aspect and west-facing city views bring sunlight throughout the day with harmonious qualities contributing to the overall feeling of comfort and positivity within the space.
Our kitchen and pantry designs maximized the available space creating a considered entertaining kitchen for our sociable clients. The gentle green palette combined with grey granite benchtops, blacbutt veneer island and antique silver hardware is a relaxed and delightful room to spend time in.
Carefully selected furnishings are elegant, textural and robust which align with the design vision of providing a sense of well-being through comfortable interiors that are highly functional and considered with the client’s individual requirements at their heart.
Telling the story of our clients lives through furnishings which reference places they have travelled to evoke happy memories and familiar feelings.
