STAGE SIX

PROJECT COMPLETION

We commence with a telephone chat to discuss what
you hope to achieve from your project, timelines and budget expectations. If your requirements align with our availability and services, we will arrange an initial consultation meeting on site with you.  At this meeting you have the opportunity to find out how we operate and what we can deliver.

A more detailed brief is obtained. Measurements and photographs of all spaces are carried out. Draftsmen/architects can be engaged at this stage.

Following agreement of floor plans and initial approach, we build on these concepts with more detailed design layers including sourcing all materials and finishes, fittings, cabinetry, furnishings and furniture. This is the really exciting creative stage of the design process and also the largest body of
design work.  We love sourcing new and interesting pieces to surprise our clients.

During this phase we bring together all the elements of design to ensure that they are incorporated into the final project design and documentation. This may include items from other trades, suppliers or collaborators.

We will assist with obtaining estimates from builders and trades and quotes from suppliers. We place orders for products, arrange site meetings and cover quality control as installation progresses.

On handover we will action any items on defects list and professionally photograph the project.

Following this initial meeting, we will provide a fee proposal based on the scope of works.

Preliminary concept and materials board, sketches and floor plans are created to illustrate our initial design direction proposals. This is the overall look and feel of the project which cuts through all design elements to create a holistic space. A face to face meeting to present and receive feedback.

Samples of all finishes specified including tiles, timber, stone, paint, tapware, flooring, fabrics and hardware are sourced. Cabinetry elevations, benchtop style, tile set outs and lighting positions are documented. Appliances for kitchens and laundries are confirmed.

In the documentation package, we provide 2d drawings of proposed floor layouts and elevations, 3d renders to show placement of key materials/colours & finishes, reflected ceiling plans and schedules listing all fittings, finishes and materials. A face to face meeting to present documentation and samples.

Using schedules we provide tracking of orders and payment of products. Initial site meetings are arranged with key trades to review plans and documentation, weekly meetings on site and review of deficiencies and problem solving take place until the project is completed, making this a stress free procurement process for our clients.

We will deliver a comprehensive folder of product specifications and warranties.
